Today I have been to see the editor of the local English language newspaper, and he has invited me to write a weekly column, about life on Zakynthos, from an English point of view.

I am to include what we do, have done and intend to do.  Our events etc.  I will also write about what we like here and why, and what we do not like, and how we believe it can be improved.  I will invite the English ‘ex pats’ to send me their news to ensure I represent all the English living on this island.

He became aware of me when I sent in a Press Release promoting my new children’s book titled ‘William the Fairground Car’.  The press release was published, but I did not expect it to become a weekly event.  I am very happy to have this column.
